Repository of Bolivian Causal Inference Studies

This repository is dedicated to disseminating Bolivian studies that present empirical evidence through causal statistical inference methods in sustainable development-related topics. Here, you'll find Bolivian studies that have applied impact evaluation methodologies such as randomized controlled trials, regression discontinuity, difference-in-differences, instrumental variables, event studies, propensity score matching, fixed effects, and others.

The featured studies cover areas including finance, education, health, agriculture, conditional cash transfers, and the environment, among others. By clicking on a study's name in the container box, you'll be redirected to its webpage. If the study is freely available, you can download it directly from that page.

Our goal is to spread awareness of as many evaluation studies applied in Bolivia as possible, as they provide robust causal empirical evidence, contributing to scientific discourse both in Bolivia and internationally. We believe these studies, by linking effects to causes while mitigating omitted variables and selection biases and controlling for unobservable factors, enable decision-makers to formulate more relevant public policies at both local and international levels.

Furthermore, we recognize that these methods are somewhat "hidden" in Bolivia, and rarely discussed outside of postgraduate economics programs. By sharing these studies, we aim to encourage undergraduate students and those in other postgraduate fields to analyze and debate them, fostering the development of more such studies in the future.
